HC Bill 25-2 · Bill · 25th Totemian Parliament
Be it enacted by the Emperor’s most Excellent Imperial Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1. The Civil Code of the Totemian Empire is hereby amended to include a new section titled “Currency Forfeiture.”
2. The new Currency Forfeiture section shall be inserted into the Civil Code as Article XIX, unless another article number is assigned by lawful authority.
3. Article I of the Civil Code of the Totemian Empire, concerning treason, is hereby amended to include currency forfeiture as an authorized punishment.
1. Currency forfeiture shall mean the lawful taking and permanent forfeiture of Totemic currency held by a person.
2. Currency forfeiture shall not include the taking of goods, crops, materials, tools, buildings, land, equipment, labor, or any other non-currency property unless separately authorized by law.
3. Currency forfeiture may be carried out by the Treasury of the Totemian Empire or by officials delegated to act on behalf of the Emperor.
4. Currency forfeiture is discretionary and shall not be required in every eligible case.
5. Currency forfeiture may be used in addition to any other lawful punishment.
1. Currency forfeiture may be used against any person found guilty of treason.
2. Currency forfeiture may be used against any person whose lawful punishment includes exile or execution.
3. Currency forfeiture may be used against any citizen who has left Totemia for more than seven days, has left the Discord server, and has purposely severed communication with Totemia.
4. Currency forfeiture shall not apply to a person who is absent due to a kick, temporary ban, time-limited punishment, technical issue, or any absence not intended as a permanent departure from Totemia.
1. The punishment section for First Degree Treason in Article I of the Civil Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Execution, imprisonment, exile, lawful torture, currency forfeiture, or any combination thereof.
2. The punishment section for Second Degree Treason in Article I of the Civil Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Fine, jail time, currency forfeiture, or any combination thereof.
3. For the purposes of Article I, currency forfeiture shall have the same meaning given to it under the Currency Forfeiture section of the Civil Code.
1. The following text shall be inserted into the Civil Code as Article XIX:
Article XIX: Currency Forfeiture
Definition: Currency forfeiture is the lawful taking and permanent forfeiture of Totemic currency held by a person.
Scope: Currency forfeiture applies only to Totemic currency. It does not include goods, crops, materials, tools, buildings, land, equipment, labor, or any other non-currency property unless separately authorized by law.
Authority: Currency forfeiture may be carried out by the Treasury of the Totemian Empire or by officials delegated to act on behalf of the Emperor.

1. The Treasury of the Totemian Empire and officials delegated to act on behalf of the Emperor shall have authority to enforce this Act.
2. This Act shall apply only after it comes into force.
3. This Act shall come into force upon Imperial Assent.
